We take that day seriously around here! So seriously in fact, that we're laying out the foundation for an entire expansion into the TMNT Universe.
The Secret History Of The Foot Clan is a story arc that's got everything; action, emotion, huge character reveals!
And when we unlock these goals, you'll have it all too! If you're not familiar with this particular story see the synopsis below:
Demons, ninjas, and hostile takeovers-what more can you want from a TMNT comic? Secret History of the Foot Clan collects the thrilling mini-series and reveals a story never told before about the original founder of the Foot. Join the Turtles as they get a history lesson that they will never forget!
With this pack, Oroku Saki becomes a fully playable hero so that you may fight your way through Shredder's origin story!
The spiritual ancestors of the TMNT, Hamato Yoshi's children are used in SHotF as a unique Ally or can be used as alternate sculpts for the TMNT.
A once loyal ally and friend, Hamato Yoshi's fate shall forever be intertwined with that of Oroku Saki's.
I won't tease you with a Turtles in Time reference (unless I just did), but these Secret History of the Foot map tiles will have your brawling in both modern and ancient times!
The architect behind Oroku Saki's reawakening and rebirth as the shredder, Kitsune's mystical powers have rippled throughout many events in the TMNT universe.
The minions and allies pack offers new versions of the Foot Ninja and the Foot Elite, as well as new allies to help you fight through multiple timelines.
The final unlock for the Secret History of the Foot expansion is Krang, the Iron Demon. Krang's interference in our dimension will set the stage for the future rise of both the Foot and the TMNT! This goal will also include a box that will store all of your Secret History expansion, but also all your stretch goals unlocked during this campaign!
You might be wondering why those ally cards have minis with them. Well, Dan and Pete, the designers, are here to explain:
In Secret History of the Foot Clan, Kitsune and the Hamato Children have unique Ally cards that trigger Miniatures on the board. These figures are controlled through actions taken by the heroes which are described on their Ally cards. If the player wishes they can also use the Hamato Children as Alt Sculpts for their favorite Turtles, to fight along side their father, Hamato Yoshi.

GAME
Happy Thursday! What a week, what a time to be alive, what a time to swat a fly!
(If you want in on the Fly jokes, you can join this Change petition that a fan made)
Anyway, we've seen a constant chatter in the comments about the current stretch goals theme and a certain character that makes an appearance in said story arc, so we've decided we don't want you to have to keep guessing.
We are happy to officially tell you, YES, we are planning to unlock a full Secret History of the Foot Clan Expansion as the next series of stretch goals, and yes, that means #IronDemon Krang. Expect the reveal of the full stretch goal map tomorrow!
We felt this content path was the best way to get Krang to you in this campaign, while staying on the IDW's story road map. We're very excited about the content, and if it all goes well, it will end with a fully boxed $40 SRP expansion going FREE to every all-in backer.
If you add up the value at that tier now, including all the stretch goals, the expansion boxes, and now this, it's a pretty sweet number!
Oh - and of course, let's not forget a little thing called 70 digital comics and Secret History to read digitally!
DIGITAL COMICS
A little clarification on the comics - they will come from our good partner, Comixology. You will receive a code that you can either tie to your account, or you will need to create one. There are legalities to this, and they must be followed carefully.
We are working with Comixology on the timeline of how quickly after the campaign those codes will be generated and delivered. This will give the BackerKit some urgency, if you are planning on upgrading in the Kit, you will have a date to upgrade by to receive codes.

Leatherhead Unlocked! Next Up, Oroku Saki!

Hey Shellheads!
We hit the $425k line and we've unlocked Leatherhead! We've also gotten a touched up version of his sculpt in, so you can see how the sculptor has bulked him out and made his pose more intimidating!
Our next stretch goal is Oroku Saki. As part of the Secret History of the Foot storyline, Oroku Saki is Shredder's old life. An incredible warrior, Oroku Saki is a fearless and powerful foe, and this new A.I. boss is sure to bring a whole new challenge to the game!
Please help us continue to draw attention to this campaign by spreading the word on social media and with family and friends. We've still got a ton of super cool stretch goals to unlock, and as always thank you for your support!

Hey Shellheads!
Well, first off sorry for the delay today. As you'll see some of the room noise really hampered the sound in this video. But anyway, the day is here! After a crazy weekend that saw 70 issues of the ongoing series unlocked as a stretch goal AND the appearance of Leatherhead, we're here to let you know where the campaign goes after Leatherhead!
Hear it from Kevin first:
That's right! After Leatherhead is unlocked, we'll be digging into Secret History of the Foot Clan! This story arc is important to IDW for several reasons. As Kevin said, it's the first true arc controlled by the phenomenal Mateus Santolouco, it's also a story arc that really cements the origins of the IDW Turtleverse.
So what will the first goal be? Well, it introduces someone incredibly important to all the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lore -
PLUS - you'll get a new set of rules for SKIRMISH MODE! For those of you who don't feel like driving story and just want to get into a street-clearing brawl, you'll now have that option! (Wow, that Villain Upgrade Box is starting to look pretty good right now).
Lastly - And we do mean LASTLY (for digital comic unlocks) if you're all-in, you'll get a code for the TMNT: Secret History of the Foot Clan comic so you can read the story and really understand IDW's unique take on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

We asked you to dash, and dash you did! This weekend's special promotion ended up unlocking SEVENTY FREE DIGITAL ISSUES of IDW's ongoing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series! Our quick math says that's a whole lot of value that just got added for backers!
Thank you all for proving the power of TMNT fans!
We also unlocked 10 Flyborgs (how cool is that sculpt?) and a playable hero version of Alopex this weekend!
